Major Health Partners is looking to add a fellowship trained Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician.
Overview: Major Health Partners is offering an exciting opportunity to grow our Orthopedic service line with an additional highly-qualified Sports Medicine physician to join a Hospital Employed Practice. This will be a 100% sports medicine position. It will include coverage at local area High Schools. Diagnostic and interventional ultrasound, concussion management, fracture care, PRP injections, and percutaneous tenotomy procedures are available as desired. This position will support a primary care referral base of 31 employed primary care physicians/advanced practitioners. Our well-established Shelby County High School based outreach Athletic Training program also provides a solid referral system to our established Sports Medicine practice. We have specialists in general Orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, spine surgery, foot & ankle surgery, rheumatology, and pain management specialists, and podiatry.

- Teaching opportunity with students/residents rotating from Marian University.
- Seasoned office staff including a sports medicine physician, certified athletic trainer, certified medical assistant, and Orthopedic surgeons available.
- Onsite outpatient physical and occupational therapy located in the ReNovo Orthopedic Center with the orthopedic team.
- Onsite X-ray at the Orthopedic Center.
- MHP Medical Center is located within walking distance of the Orthopedic Center.
- MRI and CT located at the Medical Center.
- Hospital based surgical services for inpatients and outpatients located at the Medical Center.
Qualifications: Current certification in family practice by the American Board of Family Practice or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. Successful completion of a three (3) year ACGME/AOA accredited family practice residency program followed by the successful completion of an accredited fellowship in sports medicine and board certified/eligible. Applicant must demonstrate that (s)he has provided substantive competent clinical service in sports medicine during his or her fellowship.
