Overview
Witham Health Services is adding an Advanced Practice Provider, Hospitalist to our ever growing team. The Acute Care Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is an acute care, hospital-based role working directly with physicians and a multi-disciplinary inpatient care team. The APP will be responsible for managing hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds and discharges. APPs are encouraged to work at top of license for assessments, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, modifying treatment plans, and facilitating safe discharges. The hospitalist team oversees a 26-bed medical-surgical floor and a 16-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU). ICU-level care may be included in this role with support from hospitalist physicians and pulmonary/critical care specialists. The APP will be expected to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on community, continuity, and patient-centered outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program with an advanced degree (master’s or doctorate) degree from an accredited nursing program or has completed an accredited Physician Assistant degree program.
- Must hold an unrestricted license to practice in the State of Indiana.
- Two (2) years acute care clinical experience preferred.
- Must be nationally certified in Advance Practice Specialty with recent clinically related experience in specialty.
- Be able to obtain prescriptive privileges required and the ability to maintain current privileges (to be allowed prescriptive authority) and exercise a well written collaborative practice agreement with a designated physician submitted to the State of Indiana Nursing board before prescriptive authority responsibilities will be performed.
