Library and Arts Center

It’s not unusual to see families and individuals who use the library all the time. From checking out the latest best sellers, audio books or movies, using an array of library computers or bringing your own to the free Wi-Fi spot to visiting the well-used children’s area the New Castle-Henry County Public Library is a vastly popular, local favorite.

Library staff is available to help with research or show Cub Scout troops (and other groups) how to use microfilm in the Indiana Room. There are lots of programs for families including crafts, movies, entertainment and reading programs.

Another popular local favorite is the Henry County Arts Center and Arts Park. Arts classes are available for children and adults. The Arts Park is an oasis in the middle of downtown New Castle. A wide variety of plants and aquatic life await you as you stroll the grounds of the Arts Park. A 20 foot gazebo invites you to relax. Music events, including the popular outdoor concert series, shows and exhibits can be seen in the Arts Pavilion and Arts Center.
